Kolumbianischer Schmetterling
In January 2018 this new Eretris butterfly of the Nymphalidae family was found on a hilltop in the eastern cordillera of Colombia. Eretris butterflies inhabit the cloud forest belt from Venezuela to Bolivia, extending from 400m up to the boundary with open field paramo vegetation at around 3300 m above sea level. Most known species are restricted to the cloud forest and are associated with Bamboo plants.
