Seidener Blatthornkäfer
Vertreter der Gattung Microserica gehören zu den attraktivsten Blatthornkäfern in Asien. Als Pflanzenfresser leben die meisten in den letzten verbliebenen Bergwäldern und zeigen einen hohen Grad an Endemismus. Sie sind tagaktiv und zeichnen sich durch eindrucksvolle Farbmuster auf den Flügeldecken aus. Die Spende für die Namensgebung dieser Art wird den Wissenschaftlern helfen, die Bedeutung dieser Farbmuster zu klären.
Es wird um eine Mindestspende von 2.600 Euro gebeten.

Silky Serica
The species of the genus Microserica are by far the most attractive Sericine chafers in Asia. As polyphagous plant feeders most of them live in the last forest remains in hilly and mountain areas and show a high degree of regional endemism. All Microserica species are active during daytime, and that's why they have probably this striking colour pattern on the back of their body. The donation for this species will support the scientists to investigate the origin and background of this interesting mimicry.
A minimum donation of 2.600 Euro is expected for the naming of this new species.
